I was recently asked, "In a reading, can a psychic/medium receive messages from the living?"
My answer comes from a lifetime of being close to spirit energies and learning about what is commonly referred to as 'the unknown.'
Let me begin by saying, not all people who claim to be psychic are honest in what they do. They may not be true psychics or they may not be able to tap into your energy when giving you a reading.
People who earn a living by giving psychic readings, depend on that source of income. I have spoken with many psychic readers regarding this subject and have been told. "Even if I'm not being psychic, I need to do the reading. I have also been told, "I need to do quickie, free, phone readings on the radio because it attracts people to come and pay for a full reading -and I need the money." Let me be perfectly clear, psychic/mediums, as well as all of us, have a right to charge for work performed for others. But, they, nor we, have a right to get paid for work that is not of value.
When a psychic/medium gives a description of someone you know and tells you they have a message from them...that also, may not be true!! IT IS EASY TO BELIEVE WHEN WE WANT TO BELIEVE. I am not saying that spirit does not use psychic/mediums to give us messages...I am only saying if it doesn't feels right then it's probably not a message from spirit.
That brings us to the question -"Can psychic/mediums receive messages from the living?" My answer is ..."NO"... TELEPATHY is the term used in thought transference FROM ONE MIND TO ANOTHER. This practice is not a spirit message, per se, and it does not require a third party (psychic/medium). If a living person has a strong need or desire, and the ability to focus attention on sending a thought to another IT CAN HAPPEN.
Be informed, it is the practice of false psychic/mediums to try to fit the paces together and make you believe what they are saying is true, even if it isn't. For this reason, I encourage you to develop your own HIGHER SENSORY PERCEPTION and SPIRITUAL UNFOLDMENT. The practice of relaxation and meditation is the key that opens the door to the 'world of the unknown."
In this fast-paced world we live in it is necessary to get rid of excess baggage . In getting rid of the excess baggage - it may be a good idea to check over your list of friends...and focus your spare time on your GOOD FRIENDS.
You ask, "How do I know who is a GOOD FRIEND" My answer is - use the guideline below to recognize a GOOD FRIEND
FRIENDS: Never ask if they may bring food.
GOOD FRIENDS: Always bring the food.FRIENDS: Will say 'hello'.
GOOD FRIENDS: Will say 'hello' and give you a big hug.FRIENDS: Have never seen you cry.
GOOD FRIENDS: Cry with you.FRIENDS: Will eat at your dinner table and leave.
GOOD FRIENDS: Will eat with you and spend hours talking, laughing, and just being together.FRIENDS: Know a few things about you.
GOOD FRIENDS: Could write a book with direct quotes from you.FRIENDS: Will leave you behind if that's what the crowd is doing.
GOOD FRIENDS: Will kick the back-ends of the whole crowd that left you.FRIENDS: Will knock on your door and wait for you to open it.
GOOD FRIENDS: Walk knock on your door and walk right in, saying “It's just me."FRIENDS: Will visit you in the hospital when you're sick
GOOD FRIENDS: Will cut your grass, clean your house, then spend the night with you in the hospital.
FRIENDS: Are for a while.
GOOD FRIENDS: Are for life.
According to Socrates - the touchstone of wisdom is to first know thyself.
In Jewish tradition, people write "ethical wills" in which they pass on to the next generation, especially their children, the gift of wisdom and good wishes. This legacy is far more profound and permanent than bequests of property.
An ethical will is often a personal letter to the most important people in our lives. It conveys our values, convictions and hopes. An ethical will is also an autobiography - not of events and dates, but of the insights and intuitions that define who we are and tell the world what we stand for and what we think is important.
These documents provide a priceless and prized source of loving advice and can become treasured family heirlooms. Because they are about ethics, they also can become a moral compass that helps loved ones navigate their way to worthy and happy lives.Yet no matter how highly cherished these letters can be for those who receive them, the process of writing them can change your perspective and cause you to readjust your own priorities.
What would you put in your ethical will? When you can, begin writing down everything you might want to pass on to the people you love. But know this: Once you start, it will be hard to stop as you'll experience a surge of thoughts that will engulf you with all the subconscious beliefs that make you who you are and what you will be.

The ability to read the above is due to - what the study of communication refers to as - "Early Closure." Our previous experiences in life tells us what the sentence implies, rather than what it actually said! The older we are, and the more experiences we've had, makes it easier to ASSUME it's meaning.
To ASSUME maybe helpful in some cases, but it can also be harmful in others. For example: WE may not trust a person wearing cut-off-jeans and a T-shirt (who may be a person of good, moral character) but we may trust a person wearing designer clothes (who may be of poor, moral character).
It is so important that we - look beyond the surface, and past our prejudices, to see what actually is in the hearts of others.
...Don't have "Early Closure" when it comes to people who are overweight - their weight may be caused by a physical or emotional problem.
...Don't have "Early Closure" when it comes to people who are not dressed in good clothes - they may just be a little down on their luck.
...Don't have "Early Closure" when it comes to people who are a different culture, a different color, or a different religion than you - they may be different but, WE ARE ALL ONE ON THIS PLANET EARTH!!
