Indian Legend

             Indian Youths' Rite of Passage

His father takes the youth into the forest and blindfolds him.
He is told to sit on a fallen log the whole night and not remove his blindfold until the rays of the morning sun shine through it.
He cannot cry out for help from anyone.
It would be the only way he could become a man.

The boy is naturally terrified.
He can hear all kinds of noises; wild beasts must surely be near.
Maybe some humans might want to do him harm.
The wind blew the grass, and shook the trees, but he sat stoically, never removing the blindfold.

Finally, after a horrific night the sun appears and he removes his blindfold. It is then that he discovers his father sitting on the fallen log next to him. He had been at watch the entire night, protecting his son from harm.

We, too, are never alone. God has His Guardian Angels watching over us. When trouble comes, all we have to do is reach out to God or our Guardian Angel.
                                                      WE ARE NEVER TRULY ALONE

Life After life

At this time of year we are reminded that the circle of life goes on and on, without a beginning and without an end. Even without knowing exactly how life energy began, we know that living energy cannot be destroyed -cannot die- it can only be transfered into another form of energy. Life, as we know it, may end, but the life of our spirit -the real us- lives on.

Our loved ones who have made a transition from this earth can sometimes return to comfort, support and reassure us in stressful times. They will often communicate through dreams, touch, signs or create electrical interference. They may also come at times to let us know that much of what we worry about isn't really important in the scheme of things.

What are your thoughts regarding spirit communication? Have you had any unusual or any comforting experiences?

All Things In Their Proper Time

  TALE OF THE BUTTERFLY
Sitting on his porch, enjoying the fresh breeze of a sunny day, a man spotted a butterfly cocoon on a branch of a nearby tree. On closer examination he noticed a small opening in the cocoon. He watched the opening for awhile as the butterfly struggled to force its body through the little hole.

Being impatient, the man decided that it was taking too long. He wanted to help the butterfly. He went into the house and brought out a pair of scissors to make the hole bigger, so the butterfly wouldn't have to struggle anymore, trying to get out.

The butterfly then emerged. But, it had small shriveled wings. the man expected that the wings would expand and enlarge. But, that didn't happen! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with shriveled wings. It was never able to fly.

What the man didn't understand was that the struggle to get through the tiny opening was necessary for the butterfly. That is the way fluid is pumped from the body of the butterfly into its wings.

In our life, struggle are also sometimes necessary to help us fully develop our skills and our inner strength. Know that when the time is right, you will come out of any situation and fly over the rainbow, where hopes and wishes do come true!

Stay Healthy

Foods - Did You Know?
1. Celery and strawberries are two of the most pesticide treated foods.
2. Toxic chemicles are stored in the fat of meat - so eat only lean or organic meat.
3. The EPA suggests you limit your intake of farmed-salmon to only one meal a month.
4. Butter has more PCBs than any food.
5. Aspartame or Equal can short circuit your nervous system, because it can fray the coating of your nerves, causing serious damage.
***NOTE*** 2 tsp of baking soda in a half glass of water can relieve a food allergy in a few minutes.

Things To Remember

LIFE  is too short to wake up with regrets. Treat others as you would have them treat you. Love those who treat you right and forget about those who don't. Everything happens for a reason - Believe that!

Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle - lost love, health issues - financial needs, etc.

A sharp tongue can cut a throat; A kind work can heal a wound. Use words wisely! Today and everyday, find someone o tell them " I respect you," or "I love your spirit," or I believe in you."

If you want your dreams to come true you must "wake up - get up - and take action." Don't wait on the shore for your ship to come in if you haven't set it out to sea!

Jewelry, furs and fine clothes are not as important as the expression you wear. And, realize this - The sexiest thing about you isn't your body, it's your smile!

One thing you can't recycle is TIME, once it is used, it is gone. However, it is never too late to have a second childhood. Create for yourself the childhood you wished you had - give yourself all the love and attention that you longed for in your youth.

Most of all, remember THE TEN COMMANDMENTS are not a "pick and choose." We are never so tall as when we are on our knees.
