7 RULES TO LIVE BY

Now, I'm like you and everyone else - I don't like to be preached to - so please consider these rules as friendly advice.

1. DON'T COMPARE YOUR LIFE TO OTHERS. YOU HAVE NO WAY OF KNOWING HOW THEY GOT TO WHERE THEY ARE.

2. DON'T BUY MORE THAN YOU ARE ABLE TO PAY OFF AT THE END OF THE MONTH. THIS WILL MAKE YOU FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT.

3. DON'T TAKE "NO" FOR AN ANSWER - GO AFTER YOUR HOPES AND WISHES - BELIEVE AND THEY WILL COME TRUE.

4. DON'T SAVE YOUR FANCY UNDERWEAR, CANDLES OR GOOD DISHES - USE THEM TODAY - YOU ARE WORTH IT.

5. REMOVE FROM YOUR LIFE ANYTHING OR ANYONE WHO ISN'T LOVING, USEFUL, BENEFICIAL OR JOYFUL.

6. WHEN IN DOUBT, DON'T MOVE - TAKE A DEEP BREATH, IT CLEARS AND CALMS THE MIND.

7. AGREE TO DISAGREE - YOU DON'T t HAVE TO WIN EVERY ARGUMENT.

REMEMBER:  HOWEVER GOOD OR BAD A SITUATION IS, IT WILL CHANGE !!!

What a wonderful way to live. These "rules" as you call them are simply a common sense way to live and treat people which many have forgotten, including yours truly. I am trying to live by these "rules" and am getting there. If everyone would treat others the way they want to be treated, it would help lessen all the tension we live with. Thank you for reminding us of the importance of enjoying what life offers us.

Yes, Mary Ann, I agree these rules are just common sense. However, common sense isn't that common!

I have lived by so many rules through hard times. if you are overwelmed at the time, just stick by your preset rules and beliefs without the emotions clouding you. Here's a few of my favorites: "The only thing stopping me is me" No matter what is happening it is you who put the emotions aside and "think of the goal, not the work" "Baby steps are fine, as long as your moving forward you will eventually get there" "Everyday is a precious day in your life, not when you graduate, or lose weight, or get married, or buy your house etc. Like I always say, "if I'm alive I'm going to like. And my all time favorite "The greatest character is that which is shown in the face of adversity" And as I always say, see it, do it, feel it see it say it- NOW, what are you waiting for? Today, right now, and tomorow IS what we refer to later as "my life...., so fill it in NOW. The best vitamin for friendship is B1! Enjoy!
